Outdoor Studio Flash Photography
Curious about what studio flash will do outside in the sun light? here is a side by side comparison.
The picture on the left is taken with studio flash outside in the daylight. The picture on the right is taken without studio flash.
A few things to notice about the pictures on the left:
1.) It has more flattering lighting (has a great in between harsh and flat lighting)
2.) It shows more detail in the sky – Because the picture is exposed for the brightness of the sky and the flash lights the subject to the same brightness
3.) Details on the subject are crisp and sharp
4.) You can see the rich color in the background
A few things to notice about the pictures on the right:
<1.) The sky will be almost pure white in the photo. A dramatic sky is a fantastic thing to have in a photo. As the example above illustrates.
2.) The light isn’t as flattering and the subjects does not look their best
The use of outdoor studio flash photography will really make your pictures pop! That’s why I strongly recommend them, even outside. If your are not presented with options like outdoor studio flash photography, it means your photographer hasn’t invested the equipment and knowledge to give you the best.
